The Youth Festival is conducted across 12 zones of the University of Mumbai. Gharda College comes under Zone 9 – Ratnagiri North, which includes colleges from the Mandangad, Dapoli, Khed, Guhagar, and Chiplun talukas affiliated with the University of Mumbai.
A Platform for Young Talent
The festival will feature a wide range of cultural competitions, including Dance, Drama, Music, and Fine Arts. Around 20 to 24 colleges are expected to participate, with more than 500 students likely to register and showcase their talents.
While the main festival will be held on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, the registration process will take place on Monday, 3 August 2026, at Gharda College.
Preparing for a Successful Event
To ensure the smooth organisation of the festival, various committees have been formed under the guidance of Principal Dr. Pramod Patil, Vice Principal Dr. S. K. Patil, and Registrar Sandeep Munghate. Students have been encouraged to participate enthusiastically and make the most of this opportunity to demonstrate their skills.
The 59th Mumbai University Youth Festival – Zonal Round at Gharda College will bring together young artists and performers from colleges across the region, creating an environment of creativity, healthy competition, cultural exchange, and youthful energy.
For the students of the participating colleges, the festival will be more than a competition—it will be an opportunity to perform, learn, interact, and celebrate their talent beyond the classroom.
